This may be a bit extreme, but many of the gen Z TSW5 players also play Stepford County Railway on Roblox. A massive collaboration could be crowdfunded, but would also bring major boosts in profit and players for both games. If a seperate Stepford county railway game was made by dovetail and the SCR group, it would bring AI passengers, a multiplayer game, a much larger map, etc SC to Llyn taking 1-2 hours instead of 20 mins. Meshed railways, a more realistic game in total. A completely fictional, made up route, with no AI trains only multiplayer based. This would be a bit more different to TSW5 as it is just one route, and not many DLC based. Also the train part would be easy as no copyright would be required. Just using an 801 (for example) take it into this new game and rebrand it to express. This is a really extreme idea but it could work and I feel a lot of people would help donate to make it happen.
Let's just say, you have a better chance of DTG making an old styled German Dosto than them partnering with SCR. Especially because alot of people wouldn't exactly be a fan of paying the same price for a fictional route based off of... roblox. Multiplayer is also very much out of the question currently with the state of the game on Unreal Engine. Let alone making something from the ground up. Oh yeah, and DTG have their own Tycoon game on roblox, so I guess they already got their "hold" on there covered. Sounds like a decent idea on paper, but it'll probably just stay on paper.
Like I said it was a very extreme idea, but me and like 15 other dudes were talking about how good it would be if it weren't made with roblox. A very unrealistic Idea ik ik
They could just do a TSW Version of SCR, also would introduce more rolling stock. After all after playing SCR a few years ago, even though I quit Roblox, SCR was great ctually Stepford Central, Stepford Victoria, Llyn By the sea, Leighton City, Leighton Stepford Road, Morgantown, City Hospital, Four Ways and Benton have a nice vibe. They don't need to add multiplayer to bring SCR to tsw5.
I'd rather they have no connection to it. I'd sooner have Chuggington in TSW than anything related to Roblox.
Even then, they'd have to probably release it at an incredibly low price or straight up free. The TS demographic usually prioritizes realism over fiction. The connection to Roblox makes things a bit worse.
It would be bonkers if released, by I must say if done to a 'non-rivet' quality, it would be amazing! I would 100% buy it and even though the routes are fictional (I wish there were fictional freeware/payware routes but we all know that won't happen.) It's a lot like the Thomas DLC a small niche but would get a lot of exposure from the SCR community on YT. (I'm talking like this could happen, but it will most likely not, like Livvu said it's a great idea on paper but unless it's made in the PC editor ('nudge nudge') it'll probably never come off paper.
As stated this sounds pretty good on paper but will remain on paper. The amount of rolling stock on SCR is absolutely ridiculously diverse. So considering this is actually made, you'd get only 1-3 trains max per operator. But I always wondered what the timetable would look like in SCR. The frequency, the passengers, rush hour, and more trains in sidings/depots. Versus having trains run whenever due to players spawning and being given their own timetable. This would be interesting if ever executed in whatever world and I also see myself purchasing this
