Hey! I love the realism and authenticity of TSW2. However, one thing that I’d like to adress is the potential this game has, when we get even more routes. Combine them with others to make the network bigger! This would allow the routes to go like in real life, the full length. In the german routes for example, we have IC and ICE services where you drive like 35 mins and then it’s over, instead of going the full length of the route. Even RE and RB routes could be extended to do it’s full length. Of course, all if this ain’t possible right now as we don’t have enough routes, but when we have, this would make the game even more realistic.

Just know that not every route can be connected due to routes being set to different eras (not every route is going to set in modern times), having to add additional miles of track to even be able to connect it and creating a timetable of course that works seamlessly once you merge/extend routes

This isn't a limitation of the route, more of how timetables work in game.
At present for two routes to be merged you would need THREE timetables, one for the people only owning route A, one for the people only owning route B, and one for the people who own both (and those people would have all three). This means people owning A&B may need to run the same runs twice to get medals on both timetables.
From what DTG have said on various streams on the subject they aren't in a position to have runs ending early unless route B exists etc, so until they get to that point we can but dream
