Combined Extension And Update

Just a route suggestion I would love to see.

It builds off the new X city route and the crewe-Liverpool route.

Birmingham New Street to Liverpool Lime Street.

Would be nice if it could be done as both a stand-alone and/or as an extension to the cross-city, as it would then also give you Soho TMD for the cross city route.

Could be done with either the 350 or the new 730s

 

The problem is different eras so it wouldn't work. One is steam, other is modern ac electric.

 

What I meant was liverpool to crewe being a new route as well, updated from the steam era version. A lot of the route is still recognisable today. The extension bit is adding x city to it to get soho depot onto x city

 

I get your point about the depot, but I'm not sure that's much of an extension to the Cross City DLC - the only shared point is New Street station and it heads out via Wolverhampton, not the Lichfield line.

 

Litchfield Trent Valley is also connected to WCML Liverpool Crewe if you make Trent Valley Line North Litchfield Trent Valley Stafford Crewe as the missing piece
