While trying to figure out how to replicate a company logo on the livery editor (i.e. the Union Pacific shield), I got to thinking that since Dovetail Games has the licensing of the logo and liveries of a company (i.e. Union Pacific), would it be possible to add the logos and such to the livery editor on the sign column and add new logos and such every time a new route and company is added?

DTG has said they can't do that due to licensing, in one of the streams. Me thinks it's a licensing limitation or just something else

Just because they have the licensing doesn’t mean they can do whatever they want with it. If Union Pacific allowed this, it would probably be in the game, or at least they wouldn’t have ruled it out.

To expand on this, i am certain the reason is because the company who is giving the license probably won't want to see their logo used in a different fashion to what is already in the game.
    Edit: Grammatical Error!

The licensing stipulates that brands can only be used as instructed by the owners. Therefore we will not see this happen because it opens the biggest can of worms you can imagine.

No, I don't think Southern want their logo plastered onto a 395 and I don't think TFL wouldn't approve of a London Underground logo on a TGV Duplex, so no, it's for copyright reasons

That doesn't make a lot of sense- in the Forza series, the paint editor includes just about every carmaker and auto part logo under the sun, from Abarth to Z-bart. So obviously licensing is possible.
