I would like to contact you as a Train Sim World enthusiast and a big fan of your work. I would like to offer you a line idea for a future DLC: the Marseille-Vintimille line, which runs along the Mediterranean coast via emblematic stations such as Toulon, Cannes, Nice or Menton. Or even add the train station of Grasse This line has a strong potential thanks to the beauty of its landscapes (sea, mountains, urban and rural areas) but also to the variety of its traffic. We can meet regularly: • of the Regio2N,(Z55500) • Z26500 (TER 2N NG), • BB 22200 with Corail cars (currently in service but which will be replaced in about 3 months by Omneo Premium trains), • as well as some Z23500, rarer but still present. This makes it a line that is both authentic, historical and in full transition, perfect for a realistic and rich DLC. I am domiciled near this line and I offer to help you by providing current photos of the stations, landscapes, signage and infrastructure to support you in modeling, if you are interested in this project. If the complete Marseille-Vintimiglia route is too ambitious, a realistic alternative could be Les Arcs-Draguignan to Ventimiglia, which covers a very typical part of the line. Another interesting point: you have already taken out the LGV Mediterranean Marseille–Avignon line. This could allow logical continuity by starting from a TGV arriving from Avignon (or Paris Gare de Lyon / Grand Est), which then continues in connection or in direct traffic to Nice, as is done in reality. I will be really happy to exchange with you, thank you for your work on trainsimworld Sincerely Paul
I would absolutely love to see that in TSW, actually I pretty much made the same suggestion 18 months ago It would be great either as an extension to the LGV Med or as a longer standalone route. Great scenery, good service variety, decent preexisting assets and systems. The main issues to solve being the licensing and lack of currently available rolling stock. The introduction of the Netherlands is also a great excuse to incorporate the Nez cassés locos in TSW (NS class 1700, SNCF BB7200 / 15000 / 22200). For something different, we could even be given TVM fitted BB22200 for LGV works train and the defunct MVGV (200 km/h night freight services through the LGV).
Sadly unlikely to happen as SNCF are no longer prepared to licence their trains/routes/operational information in the game.
I travelled on this route recently and the scenery is amazing with plenty of services along the route. Such a shame SNCF don't want to license any new routes. The stations at Nice-Ville and Monaco-Monte-Carlo are impressive from personal experience. I'm not normally one to sing the praises of a non UK suggestion but I had to make an exception for this one because it has such stunning surroundings.
We all read that any time French routes are mentioned, but as you noted it yourself, who (outside the DTG licence management team, obviously) knows what's the deal with that? I still have some hope considering Matt's recent post on the subject, which mostly reads, to me, as DTG not having really tried to get any licence outside the TGV's so far more than SNCF having outright refused them the privilege. I'll at least take some solace in seeing the LGV route not going the way of the Peninsula corridor... yet?
Hello I just saw you answer and first Your first line proposal was really well explained frankly well done too bad they didn't see or didn't answer and i just read that SNCF refuse to share their licence however in 3 months the 29 Junes it won’t be the sncf anymore who do the journey between Nice ville , nice saint Augustin, Antibes,Cannes, Saint Raphaël, Les arcs draguigna, Carnoules, Toulon, Marseille saint Charles, it will be transdev because basically they want to replace the BB22200 by OMNEO prenium So that there is less delay and facilitate the line so it can be maybe more easy to get the licence to do it in TSW ? Or because the Line is from sncf it will be the same ? https://france3-regions.francetvinf...-autres-regions-louees-a-la-sncf-3126910.html however Thank you for all your answers and your enthusiasm I didn't expect so many reactions sorry for my english I m french
Yeahh I saw that, the suggestion is just awesome, amazing work you did. I would love That they create this dlc but yes unfortunatly that s the same situation for the Z59000 even if it s transdev track is own by SNCF but do we know why they don t want to give licence ?
I think due to security reasons, related to possible attacks or simply the bad trend of using trains inappropriately... You know what happens, especially with PACA Réseau...
There are no licenses for the train model, kek - I agree to any fictional livery, but with a real train model, fans will finish it with mods later
