Just had a first play of the Mildmay Line. After completing the first scenario the game popped up an error with the .BAK file and an error code. Unfortunately I can't remember what this code was. When I reloaded the sim the only options I had were to start with a new profile or reload an exisiting profile. The most recent 'old' profile I have has lost me a couple of hundred player levels. It seems that my profile has been reset to the start of TSW5. Has anyone else come across this recently and know of a fix? DTG-Chris can this be raised as an urgent issue for the team to investigate so that other players do not experience this.
Do you have PS+? If you do then you can re-download you latest save from the cloud and everything should be fine
I do but it has already been overwritten. I'm gonna try and contact Playstation support to see if it is possible to roll back to an earlier version.
Nope unfortunately not. It seems my progress has been reset to the start of TSW5. Must be nearly 3 months of gameplay lost. I would recommend to anyone with PS Plus to uncheck the auto-sync function for your TSW5 save game and do a manual backup to the cloud every so often just in case it overwrites your save with a corrupted version as you can't choose an earlier version of your game save in the cloud.
If you're on PS4 you can backup your save game to a USB stick but Sony removed that function for PS5. However you can make a backup of your whole system from a PS5 to USB but this will reset your console to factory settings so you would need to re-download all your games again and we all know what a PITA that is for TSW5.
