hi i was trying to install some car mods for the big boy and in the quick drive editor i keep on getting 'coupling issue' i dont know how to fix this and i would like to get it working some how -builder
Ok... firstly a silly question... Are the cars you are trying to couple compatible with what you are trying to couple to??? By that I mean you aren't trying to couple a knuckle equipped boxcar to a buffered screw link (UK type) wagon / coach are you??? The other thing you can try but I don't know where it is in settings but there's an option to make TS "ignore" coupler types and couple / join stock regardless... Eric
i am new to train sim but i think so i am trying to get these wagons on a fef the aux cars are working just fine but the other ones are not these are us wagons on a us engine and where is that setting
Having started the game and before you do anything else click on Settings in the top right corner Then Gameplay and make sure Allow All Coupling is ticket - I also have Auto Coupling ticked
Thanks Peter... I've been out all day & not had chance to trawl through TSC settings for the OP... You just saved me a job... Eric
This is a Gameplay setting so it would allow you to couple in a scenario but it won't allow you to build a consist
Maybe some of our cousins across the pond can possibly make some helpful suggestions... Cyclone maybe??? Eric
What happens when you place the two types of loco / wagon on the track and you try to couple each other by Driving - not in the Editor
I have a sneaking suspicion this did work at some point, since back in my ancient times I did run something like a GP9 pulling a moderate string of Mk3s up from Reno to Colfax or somesuch. Maybe you need to click something or after spawning the consist, couple again. It was 7+ years ago, I don't remember, also deleted the screenies, so it's bordering the tales of legend. (Shortly after I ended up exploring enough and got less unrealistic. Ultimately recommend the same to OP.)
Have a watch of this Then this one These may not be the locos you are talking about but it all works the same way
well i got it to work i just have to do that from now on thank you for all the help over the past 2 weeks
