When 2 trains couple together, doesn’t releasing the doors release all of them?

In free roam I’m driving a 387 coupled to a 710 on Barking to Gospel Oak route. Train is moving fine and when I set a destination both trains show that station on the PIS. Only thing is when I press door release the doors only open in the 387 not the 710. Same thing when I couple a 395 with a 425.

I would hazard a guess that their systems aren't compatible irl and that's why - as I don't think they were intended to be run together.

So perhaps they are able to couple as they share the same coupler, but then what one train is doing won't translate to the other train.

The master key and reverser need to be set in the second train in order for both sets of doors to open. This might only work for the door control buttons on the controller, not the in cab buttons

The 387 and 710 aren't set to run in multiple. They don't in reality.
