Aargh, TS froze, I had to do a forced reboot, then had to log in to the Steam client again, for first time ever, and now there’s only an option to INTALL TS, not play it! Obviously just one or other key file has been corrupted, so Steam doesn’t recognise the existing installation. And because it doesn’t recognise it, there’s no ‘verify integrity’ option either, to replace whatever has been corrupted. What can I do? Is my only option to reinstall the whole thing again, and wait while it overwrites 100GB plus of TS files? If so, thankfully the PC has that spare.
Nothing for it, but reinstall: says it’s discovering existing TS files, so should hopefully and quickly just identify and repair the damaged files
I have things backed up, it was just the annoyance factor. It just reinstalled 300 MB of files, and all’s well again. I have folders of all my 3rd party DLC original downloads in three places, so I can reinstall if need be.
