Hello all, TrainGeek08 here, and today I am suggesting Creators Club 2.0, which is a revamped and expanded version of the current Creators Club.

    New Features:
    - Ratings
    - Comments
    - A better search function
    - Following Creators

Let's get into it shall we?

    Ratings:
This will be a new way for either players to rate your liveries, scenarios and formations to others in the community, which could increase your following as a creator.

    How would it work?
Well, you (as the player) would be met by a prompt after finishing the scenario with the option to rate it out of 5 stars. Within Creators Club, the creator gets to see the statistics of how other players have rated it, which in turn is effective feedback to the creator. Also, it could let the algorithm know what scenarios are the best in Creators Club at that time. For liveries and formations, the same prompt will be given once you try out the livery/formation in timetable mode or custom scenario. This would work in tandem with the next point of commenting on mods.

    Commenting:

Commenting on mods would be a great way for players to express their thoughts and opinions on it, and could act as feedback from the creators perspective.

    How would it work?
Within the UI in Creators Club, when you click on a mod, it will prompt you with either 'View Mod', 'Rate Mod' or 'Comment'. You would select comment and it allows people who have played the mod to comment on how good/bad it is. Any messages that are considered inappropriate will be automatically deleted within the game or deleted by DTG manually under the creator's permission. It would be a great way for creators to narrow down any negative elements of the mod itself and for players to have a say and be heard instead of potential things being missed. The only way a creator knows as of now that their mod is going poor is the subscriber count so commenting would be a good way for players to explain exactly what is wrong.

    A better search function:
This better search function would allow for players to search for mods better than now. Especially when you are searching by creator, only the most recent 12 mods will display, even if the creator has 100+ mods released.

    How would it work?
The search function would be similar to how it is now, but with the ability to search by creator i.e. TrainGeek#2610 or TrainGeek08. When you search by creator, you will have the most recent 20 mods from each category (liveries/scenarios/formations) displayed, each category could be ticked like when you upload your mods currently.

    Following Creators:

By following the creator, you could get notifications when your favourite creator releases their next batch of content. I'm sure there are some players of the game who do not know about creators making threads in the Creators Club subforum so this would be a way for players to know when releases go ahead.

    How would it work?

A minimised notification would pop up on the bottom left or right of the screen saying (for example) 'TrainGeek#2610 has released (TG08) FLIXDivert (BR 101/BR 193)' if I was one of your followed creators. It allows players to see when their favourite creator publishes their next piece of content on Creators Club. And yes, the notifications could be disabled through the Settings menu if the pop-ups would distract you from driving/guarding at all.

Is there anything I have missed? Put your thoughts and opinions on the potential Creators Club 2.0 below, I've been TrainGeek08, and I'll see you later, but until next time, it's goodbye :).

I agree with all of it apart from the comment one.. I fear that comments would cause issues such as bullying and verbal harrassment but I could be worrying over nothing

That is something to be wary of with commenting, if it can cause bullying or harassment then just do it by ratings as it is just 1-5 stars and people are not taking it out on you when you release a bad piece of content per say.

Just add the ignore option, just like in the Forums here. I do agree that bullying is wrong, or ignore anyone that acting childish.

That could help with the issue regarding commenting on mods :).
