The line between Reading and Bournemouth runs for around 77 miles and is mostly electrified with 3rd rail, although the section between Reading and Basingstoke is diesel operated.
Local services between Reading and Basingstoke are operated by GWR on a half hourly frequency, in addition to Cross Country services to Bournemouth operating every 2 hours. Between Basingstoke and Bournemouth, there are multiple express services operated by SWR that go to places such as Poole, Weymouth, Portsmouth Harbour, Exeter St David’s, Bournemouth and Salisbury. These are operated by a mix of Class 450’s, 444’s and 159’s. The primary freight on this route north of Southampton is container traffic heading to places such as Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester and Crewe. These are hauled by a mix of GBRf and Freightliner class 66’s. Also included with this route would be the short branch line to Lymington Pier, so the route doesn’t feel like a missed opportunity such as with the multiple branches along the Thames Valley in GWE.

    Proposed Rolling Stock
    • Class 165 in GWR Livery. upload_2022-2-26_1-25-10.jpeg
Almost identical to the Class 166 apart from there being 2 car variants of the class. Used on GWR services between Reading and Basingstoke.
    • Class 220 in CrossCountry livery upload_2022-2-26_1-27-2.jpeg
Operates all CrossCountry services in this area. Currently only 2 4car sets remain in operation with XC.
    • Class 450 in SWR Livery upload_2022-2-26_1-29-8.jpeg
Operates the majority of SWR services alongside the Class 444 (separate DLC)
    • Class 66 in GBRf & Freightliner livery upload_2022-2-26_1-30-54.jpeg upload_2022-2-26_1-32-38.jpeg
Operates vast majority of freight on this route. Would be nice if a couple of the special GBRf liveries were included also (Evening Star 779, Cemex 780, Large Logo 789, Coal Sector 793 etc.

Stock layering in from other routes
ECW/BML: Class 377 from either route for services between St Denys and Southampton Central. Version used would be based on which version the user owns.
GWE: HSTs and 166s up at Reading for AI, as well as EWS Class 66 for a couple of freight services all over the route.
Cl313: These units do occasionally venture over to Southampton so maybe have 1 or 2 services a day on which the 313 will appear if the player owns it.

    Potential DLC’s
    • Class 444 in SWR livery
    • Class 423 (Lymington Pier branch only)

Looks like you are trying to link Great Western Main Line with South Western Main Line at Basingstoke. A bundle comprised of SWML London Waterloo Clapham Junction Basingstoke combined with Bournemouth Basingstoke Reading with GWML London Paddington to Reading as the West London/Basingstoke Regional Pack.
