Can someone clarify how I'm supposed to play DLC I bought for TSW2 and onwards, on TSW 5 ? I've coughed up for new versions of the game year on year, but I'm not a regular player. I now want to play Great Western Express, West Somerset Railway and Spirit of Steam on TSW5. Yet the in game store expects me to pay full price, even the playstation store expects me to pay full price for TSW 5 version of what I already own on TSW3! So now my console is filling up with downloads from TSW3 and 4, JUST TO UNLOCK it as "free" in the TSW5 store.... Am I doing something wrong? This is ridiculous, it's using considerable amount of bandwidth / broadband on LOVE I dont need, just to get access to the actual TSW5 downloads ! Photo is an example of my downloads, numerous old versions downloading just to unlock the TSW5 purchasability
Unfortunately that's how it works on PlayStation. The way the store is set up, it doesn't recognise DLC as owned if you skip a version. It only recognises as owned if the content is installed in the previous version (ie a TSW4 DLC only shows up as free/owned in the PS store if it is installed on TSW3 and so on).
You don’t have to actually download the DLC of the inbetween versions. You buy them for free and this wants to initiate a download but you can skip that part or cancel the download.
You can play everything in TSW5 or 6, just follow this guide: https://support.dovetailgames.com/h...nformation-for-PlayStation-Users-(READ-FIRST) This is a Playstation thing, on Xbox the DLC's are directly available for every version of the game.
