    Hi
Love the route in real life but can not play it :)

I have tried many things but can not get any power. I open the doors, guard beeps, doors are closed, I turn the key on, reverser in forward and then power back then...nothing. The brakes are still on.
Also I dont have the graphic on my HUD that shows the power handle or reverser switch (I have seen some Youtubers with the same issue).

    Any guesses?

    Kind regards
    Dominic

Got any links to those Youtubers, with timestamps of the actual problem, just figure that'll help your cause in getting across your issue, if there is one.

    Thank you Reef.
Attached is a screen shot of my cab. Brakes full, no power icon in the HUD :([IMG]

Shift + W for the Master Key (next to the throttle / reverser in your pic - a little key :) )
Then Press Y for the DRA (you'll see a red glow turn off)
Then you should be able to use the train.

Hi Atomicdanny. Thanks for the reply. Breaks are still clamped on :)

Try turning the red key on the desk under the speedo.

Hi Nick Y. Thanks for the reply. Turned it off and with most combinations the brakes won't come off. I have now tried different trains on the route and they work fine (it's a lovely route). I might delete and start again.

Strange one. I loaded that same scenario on mine and made sure the F4 HUD showed, and I have the reverse and power/brake controller showing.

I just pressed Shift + W for master key in, S (once) to put it into forward and was able to press A and start moving. The DRA was switched off when the scenario loaded so I didn't need to press Y.

If you have any references to those Youtubers experiencing the same issue, that would be helpful :)

    Which combinations were those, actually?

Thank you SJA. The Youtuber videos shows the power/brake not showing, not the brakes cramped on. Apologies for the confusion.

Once the picture above was done, I went round pressing every button that could be pressed :) Nothing occurred. I even went to the back train cab and tried. Still brakes on :(

I’m having the same problem, despite going through the above to try to solve the problem!

Hi 749006. When I press F3, this is the HUD display: [IMG]

Are you in Simple Controls or Advanced?
When you stare the game and before you drive check Settings > Gameplay and see if Train Controls are expert or not.

749006! 749006! 749006! (chants for ever). I was on simple controls. That did it. As soon as I turned on the key, the brakes released! Odd how it didn't work with simple controls though.

Thank you everyone for comments and suggestions!

There are some trains that are considered to have Expert controls because of the extra features they have

Simple controls is something that can always be a culprit. The moment I got TS I set to expert controls in the options, so had no idea what simple controls looked like, then after installing something it somehow reset, and I had no clue what had happened, till it occurred to me to look.

I was having the same issue, solved now thanks - it was the simple controls vs expert controls causing it.
