Hello Everyone, today I am going to be suggesting the Crosscountry Corridor. —————————————————————————————————————————— This Route Runs for 65 Miles, from the 2nd Largest City in the UK, Birmingham, to the City of Sheffield in the North. Crossing from the South of England, into the North. Why this Route? The Birmingham To Sheffield line is a key corridor for Crosscountry routes across the UK, and having a Crosscountry oriented route would make very good use of a new operator in game. What is the Stations? BIRMINGHAM NEW STREET, WATER ORTON, WILNECOTE, TAMWORTH, BURTON ON TRENT, WILLINGTON, DERBY, CHESTERFIELD, DRONFIELD AND SHEFFIELD. TOTAL LENGTH: 65 Miles —————————————————————————————————————————— What is the Rolling Stock? BR Class 220/221 “Voyager” XC (NEW) The Class 220/221 is the main locomotive on this route, doing a majority of the services between Birmingham and Sheffield. BR Class 170/5 and /6 XC (REUSED) The Class 170 returns for this Route, doing Playable Stopping services as far as Derby Points of Interest Along the Route. Burton Wetmore Sidings Burton Wetmore Sidings houses a lot of Heritage Locomotives and Rolling Stock, which could add some variety in the sidings with the current BR rolling stock we have in game. Tamworth Station Tamworth Station is unique in it having both high and low level platforms, Low Level being for WCML Traffic and the High Level Platforms for Crosscountry Routes. It could make use of the current WCML stock we have from Euston - Milton Keynes —————————————————————————————————————————— Route Hopping Birmingham New Street - For Birmingham Cross City Derby - For Midland Mainline. PRICE as this Route includes a Heavily Requested Locomotive, and has a decent length of 65 miles, the price for this Route would probably be the standard £29.99 Thank you all for Viewing this Suggestion.
Presumably you could get some MML layers at Derby and Sheffield too along with all the Birmingham New Street layers.
Sure it's further than 61 miles. Birmingham to Derby is 41 miles. Derby to Sheffield is 36 miles, so 77 altogether. Still doable I guess.
