Hi Guys, It's me Driverwoods#1787 presenting an international route that will fill the gap between the proposed Dutch Route network and the HRR. This the Duisburg-Oberhausen-Arnhem Railway.
    Map
    [IMG]
    Description
This is the Oberhausen-Arnhem Railway that links the Netherlands with Germany via the Emmerich Border Station. Length is 92 km 1 km shorter than the longest route in-game LGV Mediterranee Line Avignon Marseille at 93 km. Voltages and Signaling systems on this route are 1.5kv dc Arnhem-Zevenaar ATB followed by the 25kv 50hz Zevenvaar-Emmerich section ETCS for trains that use the Betuweroute. Lastly is the 15kv 16.7hz Emmerich-Oberhausen Section which uses PZB Sifa & LZB. This route acts as the Eastern Extension of Another proposed TSW 2 route Amsterdam Arnhem.

    Rolling Stock & Services
Note other rolling stock for this route is found on these other Dutch & cross-border Netherlands to Germany routes like creeperblox2710's Amsterdam-Arnhem & jolojonasgames Onsabrück-Henglo & Enschede-AmserfootCS.
Route Specific Ones are the following

Et25 Flirt 3 these are used for Arnhem to Oberhausen Services and are tri voltage & multi signaling systems equipped 1.5kv ATB EG/NG dc 25kv 50hz ETCS & 15kv 16.7hz PZB LZB & Sifa for RE19.
DB BR189 with C-Akv coupler or buffers and chains
    [IMG]
These are used for the Iron ore trains with C-Akv couplers equipped on the Faals Ore wagons & double formation. For the Rotterdam, Dillingen trips via Koln & Duisburg then the West Rhine Railway. Others are the buffers & chains for general freight including coal wagons Falns type and Laaers 560 car transporter tanker wagons Zacns & paper roll Habbiins 344. These are equipped with ATB ETCS PZB LZB & Sifa signaling systems
    DB BR 146.0
    [IMG]
DB BR146.0 used for the RE5 Wesel to Koblenz Services via Duisberg & Koln. Route pre-2016 went to the Emmerich border station. They're the push-pull train sets for the route found with Dostos. Can be substituted by DB BR146.2 if either Main Spessart Bahn or Riesa-Dresden is owned.
    DLC
    DB BR151 [IMG]
These used to do the Rotterdam-Dillengen Iron Ore trains duties before the Betuweroute DB Br189 C-Akv couplers took over their duties by loco switching for a Dutch NS6400 locomotives at Emmerich in triple formation. Couplers when doing Iron Ore Train duties are the Unicoupler type found on the Falns Iron Ore Wagons. Can also provide Main Spessart Bahn services.
    Layered From other Routes
    [IMG]
For All TSW 2 owners, the DB BR406 Standard with SKA is usable on this route by Providing Express services between Duisburg & Oberhausen Hbf to Arnhem then onto Amsterdam.
    DB BR232
    [IMG]
If Ruhr Sieg Nord is owned with DB BR232 DLC and used in a special Timetable mode pre-2016 upgrade of Emmerich Zevenaar ETCS signaling 25kv 50hz by having that portion of the route use ATB & 1.5kv DC with DB BR232 providing Coal freight services.

    Videos

Video is by Rail Public Transport comments are in Dutch and German Languages.

Video is by Arjen V Cabrides of Oberhausen Emmerich Section in 2014. Comment and Video description are in the Dutch Language. The locomotive is Class 66 currently in Game in GWML & ECW

Video is by Trainviking on ICE Line 78 Amsterdam to Basel via Frankfurt Duisburg & Oberhausen. Train used is SKA DB BR406
    Pictures

Oberhausen Hbf Terminus of the Line and HRR S3 if Adam's preservation Team decided to join HRR with my suggestion from Mulheim. Currently exists in Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr as a portal
    [IMG]
Arnhem CS Terminus of the Oberhausen Arnhem Railway. Line continues to Amsterdam as Arnhem-Amsterdam Railway
    [IMG]
Duisburg Hbf the terminus of both Oberhausen Arnhem and an existing route in game Haputstrecke Rhein-Ruhr were to be linked to each other. Provided DTG wants a linked route with HRR and is also an international route. Locomotives are DB BR 111 not in-game but DB BR425 is in-game for HRR layers onto SKA HMA suggested for Main Spessart Bahn
    Gameplay & Future
Players will need to be used to the three signaling systems used on the railway line they're the Dutch ATB system followed by the European Union ETCS and the German PZB LZB Sifa System. That also includes three voltage changes 25kv 50 Hz to both 1.5kv DC & 15kv 16.7hz AC overhead wires. In-game they're on Main Spessart Bahn Ruhr Sieg Nord Ruhr Sieg Osten HRR HMA & SKA routes. Additionally, the route links up to HRR at Oberhausen & Duisburg Hbf which would mean one can operate two different trains one for the HRR other for Oberhausen-Arnhem Railway. If HRR Oberhausen Section is not made then an extension to Duisburg Hbf is made to link Oberhausen-Arnhem with HRR. Distance is 99 km from Arnhem to Duisburg making it shorter by 6 kms than Riesa-Dresden at 105 km

I’d definitely buy this route, a pleasant mix of freight and passenger, great rolling stock (flirt and 189) and it’s another route which is suitable for the 406. Great suggestion.

However I agree with you and it's going to require the SKA DB BR406 to be fitted with ATB the Dutch train safety system the European Version of LIRR former Pennsylvania Railroad pulse code signaling Arnhem to Zenvaar 1.5kv DC and ETCS Zenvaar-Emmerich 25kv 50hz. On the other hand DB BR189 will give the community Heavy 6 kiloton iron ore trains PZB U required Like a Main Spessart Bahn Double Header freight and Banking locomotive services. The Bonus of this route is that links up with an existing route Haputstrecke Rhein-Ruhr at Duisburg Hbf or Oberhausen Hbf if S3 DB BR422/425 was extended to meet with this cross-border line from Mulheim. Perhaps Dovetail games can introduce the Netherlands with this route or Its Dutch Section Arnhem Amsterdam Railway. Not sure if you own Ruhr-Sieg Nord? If you do Own Ruhr-Sieg Nord Both DB BR363 can work at Arnhem CS Emmerich and Duisburg Yards. DB BR232 freight services together with DB BR189 towards Arnhem from Duisburg and Oberhausen Yards.

I'd love to see this - the changing of voltage (sometimes loco) at Emmerich would make for some interesting actvities. It'd be nice to see an NS1700 in the mix too.

You mean the pre 2016 25kv Zenvaar-Emmerich section to which ATB EG 1.5kv DC went to Emmerich Station. However that requires a German locomotive layered from Haputstrecke Rhein-Ruhr DB BR101 that route is linked to this one at Duisburg and Oberhausen Hbf Portals. Even a Riesa-Dresden proposed DLC DB BR145 can attach to the NS1700 locomotive at Emmerich. If ÖBB TSW 2 route comes in then ÖBB1293 200 Nightjet is playable on this route instructions for that is operate the Sleeper train to Arnhem where a NS1700 locomotive comes in to operate the train Amsterdam Arnhem CS section.

The problem with Betuweroute is that it's ETCS from Emmerich to Rotterdam no ATB EG NG. Best bet is merging my suggestion Duisburg Oberhausen-Arnhem Railway with Haputstrecke Rhein-Ruhr via Duisburg and Oberhausen Hbf via Mülheim Portal. If you look up Amsterdam Arnhem on the TSW2 forums that's the Dutch Domestic Section.

You mean the whole Arnhem to Duisburg trip with working 8,6,13,14 ATB EG NG indicators. At Köln Hbf the Amsterdam Utrecht Arnhem Oberhausen Duisburg ICE 3M goes on it's own or Combined with SKA ICE3M to Frankfurt Am Main Hbf via Flughafen Frankfurt. Since that's just watching the video it's the exact cab on SKA DB BR406 with ETCS switch working required for Zevenaar-Emmerich section. Side panel LZB Sifa PZB switch. DB BR406 ICE3 is owned by NS Dutch Railways
