I used to be able to play together with friends on both PS4 and PS5 but now this is no longer possible? It asks me instead to download the other platform's version in order to join a game. What happened? This used to work! Why did we go backwards?

Hi Jan, So by your reaction I'm assuming this wasn't intentional? I'm not on it atm but if you send an invite from PS4 to a friend on PS5, the invite will tell you to download the PS4 version instead of the option to join. We also tried creating a private match to try to go around this but it didn't work. I don't know what's the error displayed on the PS4 end, but I know it also doesn't let you join an invitation sent from a PS5. Hope this can be addressed! Cheers
Hey there, we didn't make any changes that could've affected cross platform availability on PlayStation. Could you please make sure that "Crossplay Invitations" in your Personal Info settings is turned on on both machines? To do this go to "Settings" on your PlayStation homescreen, then navigate to "Account Management" > "Privacy Settings" > Log in > "Personal Info | Messages" > "Crossplay Invitations" and make sure this option is set to "Allow". Again, this has to be the case for any console you're trying to connect to. Let me know if this was the case or not. All the best, Jan
