The entire length of Crossrail is around 73 miles, but due to Reading to Paddington already existing, this section of Crossrail will not be included, but could be possible DLC if DTG ever do route extensions. The reason for including Slough on this route is for some GWR IET operated services to be drivable, which brings the route length in at around 60 - 65 miles. It would also be interesting to see if this route is released before Crossrail is fully opened. Route will duplicate part of GWE. It is believed BAA will not grant any licence for the Heathrow extension as they "own" the infrastructure, not Network Rail. Licensing situation with Crossrail unknown and, at this stage, there is probably little or no reference material to cover the underground section through central London.
Problem you are going to run across is licensing for British airport authorities Heathrow terminal stations. The underground sections belong to Hong Kong MTR subsidiary crossrail. Licenses are Network Rail MTR
