Is there any issue with CRR when a service starts on a grade? I can not get the train to start and I have tried everything possible.
Best practice is apply independent brake fully Release train brake Apply throttle to notch 3/4 might need 5 Once amps have built up release independent brake you should move forward However, there are some problematic services, does this relate to a particular one?
That’s ok. To help investigate though to know which services and what weather settings etc may be helpful, (although I haven’t done every service personally yet, this is not an issue I have run in to)
I had a similar issue, with the Sd40 Starting from McGuire mine. I suspect I've got the name wrong. But I pinned it down to a brake issue so went back to the tutorial setting up the sd40 (as there seems to not be a manual) I then went back and set up the brakes as per that tutorial and off I went. And the PC was saved from being launched into the back garden via the window.
That one is notorious, because of the slippery conditions. If you start as designed, you can't go above Run 3 without breaking traction and losing it., just crawl all the way to the tunnel at 0.6 mph (no fun at all). Best workaround discovered to date is to back up all the way to the north end of the yard where the grade is flatter and start from there.
Ive just tried that scenario on the "Mainline Chapter 2" tonight. Its impossible to get it to move. "CRR Extra 3016" it is. Ive tried everything! Even what you have suggested "solicitr"
