I'm not familiar with the new CSX C40-8W and I'm about to do the "Slippery Decent" scenario. What are the correct settings for this MU as far as the "Independent Brake Valve", and "Dynamic Brake" goes, in both units? Anything else I need to set up?

It should be setup correctly in the scenario already.

It follows the same principle as used for AC4400 in its display: lead has all cut-in and slaves all cut-out.

But I have tested that what really matters are the cut-out valve and the MU-2A. The independent brake valve and the dynamic brake appear to be intended only for local isolation, or at least they have no impact on the master/slave setup as the slave still uses dynamic brake and pneumatic brake no matter what setting was used on those controls.

    Cheers

OK, got it. Thanks guys. Got a bit confused there with the "Independent Brake Valve", and "Dynamic Brake" settings. Good to go now. Wish me luck!! ;)

just use the dynamic brake when needed on that scenario you should do fine then
there is almost no need for extra braking
