Someone else has probably recommended this route before but thought I’d share my opinion. This route includes 62 route-miles through farmland and across the Blue Ridge Mountains, and featured 2 horseshoe curves, and passes through Gettysburg and the Gettysburg National Battlefield. Grades can reach a grueling 2% Grade. this route was a DLC for Ts Classic in 2020 and has become one of my personal favorites to play and drive on. I personally like the variety of line-side industries, yards, and interchanges it includes. Rolling stock I think should include two- and three-bay covered hoppers, stone hoppers, boxcars, center-beam flats, gondolas, tank cars, and other rolling stock in typical U.S consists I think this route would be the perfect route to introduce the SD40-3, This beast has 3,000-horsepower, is a six-axle locomotives. tractive power will increase from 86,000 to about 130,000 pounds. this route would obviously include the SD40-2 from Sand Patch Grade. Last but not least, the bigger locomotive would be the C40-8W in YN3B paint. this beast would be brought into This route with the new paint scheme. Specs about this engine include: 6-axle diesel electric locomotive built by GE Transportation System from 1989 to 1994. 4,000 hp (3,000 kW) some uprated to 4,100 hp (3,100 kW). Most engines are currently either still in service as of 2021, most in storage, or have been retired and/or sold to other railroads or leasing companies, or scrapped. another engine could include the AC4400
The SD40-3 is a great idea. I'd also like this route to include a GP40-2/GP40-3, ET44AH, ST70AH (CSX SD70ACe-T4), or SD70AC (rebuild SD70MAC for CSX). A GP38-3 would be good, too. By the way, does Amtrak run passenger trains on this route? If so, we could see a P42DC or Siemens ALC-42 Charger on this route (finally!).
