My idea is for the two CTRail routes-Shore Line East and the Hartford Line-to be added into the Train Sim World Series in the same route. This would allow for a variety of services and some creativity in some scenarios. Route Name: Connecticut Commuter: New Haven, Hartford, New London, and Springfield (this could be narrowed down to 2-3 cities) The route: the route would consist of the two lines. It would span from New Haven Union to New London (SLE) and Springfield (Hartford) respectively. Rolling stock: M8 EMU P40DC locomotive GP40-3H locomotive Mafersa coaches Amtrak layers for SLE and maybe Hartford if allowed by Amtrak Services: New Haven Union-New London (SLE and NERegional) New Haven Union-Springfield New Haven Union-Hartford New Haven Union-New Haven State Street (if an MTA license can be obtained for non CTRail M8s then this would work) Yard moves Scenarios: While I don’t have many in mind right now, one would definitely be to have diesel stock on SLE. There could also be one or two timetable services with the same concept. Possible issues with this route: -Route Length: it is 2 routes combined so this would make sense -Licensing: hopefully CTRail would be good with licensing -The GP40-3Hs: while these are used very rarely on the Hartford line and are used more in their Metro North lease, it would still be amazing to have on this route. I personally really enjoyed this locomotive, so I hope it would be included. -Including the Acela: since the Acela currently skips New London, it would be hard to include playable Acela services that are not AI unless the Acela stops at New London because it used to. -Lack of services: the thing about these lines is that service is not that frequent. While service is more frequent on weekdays obviously, including a weekend schedule like what was included on the San Bernardino line would help this route, even though it would not include a significant my large amount of services.
Nice suggestion but if the route came to tsw5 I would also love it to come with the Kawasaki M8 since they run on the route. And their new trains And the P40DC
