Hello everyone I would like to make a suggestion for a future route. I think modern Trams would Look great in TSW 2, so how about a modern day Tram Network? This is the Map of the CTS Network. There are 6 lines serving about 48 km (realistic Route lengh even if you include every line) of track trough the french City of Strasboug, running along famos landmarks like the European Parliament or the Bridge over the Rhine to the german Town of Kehl, wich would make it TSWs first international Route. There are two types of Trams. The older Bombardier Eurotram (left) and the newer Alstom Citadis 403. (Right) Most of the Network is like a normal Tramway running along the streets, but there is a short tunnel section at the station Gare Centrale, wich is served by the lines A and D. There is also a station above ground for the Line C, wich terminates at gare centrale. A Tram would probably need improvements to the AI of Cars (Not so much, because the trams are mostly running seperated from car traffic) and maybe passengers and of course some changes with the method of placing assets and buildings, because the current TSW Towns look ..... you know.... not so great (to be nice) I think it would be a great addition to the game, and it wouldnˋt be like most other routes where you just drive from one point A to B and the next thing you can do is to repeat the run. Even if you would only include half the lines, you would have a lot of variety, and need to do at least three services to see the entire route. I hope you like my idea Greetings
Thanks And with the coming Arosa line from rivet Games it should be possible to create a Downtown atmosphere and the feeling and typical scenery of a Tram, because the Trains to Arosa are also running straight trough the streets of Chur.
Good idea since the entire tramway uses 750v DC wires. If Dovetail games decided to do SNCF Strasbourg-Kehl routing as part of LGV Est the Rhine River bridge is actually a voltage change over point since SNCF Trains in Northern France use 25kv 50 hz, unlike Deutsche Bahn which has 15kv 16.7 hz wires at Kehl.
