I don't know if you agree with my opinion, but the predefined custom weather types are missing something very cool that was already in TS-Classic: SHOWERS. I'd like to have cloudy weather where it rains every now and then for a random period of time. But without the extreme variations we experience in the dynamic weather type. In TS-Classic it really looks very immersive.
100%. Maybe a choice of light and heavy showers too. Hail and thunder for the latter if selected during summer months and blizzards in January and February. Then take out thunder and lightning with heavy rain in dynamic weather and just have it in the heavy showers setting, because in the UK heavy rain and thunder don't always go hand-in-hand.
Later this week there is a reasonable chance of a super cell thunderstorm moving up from France. Those who sit on the NE flank could see an insane amount of lightning while the rest will see some lightning but mostly hail and gusty winds. Which got me thinking. I think the over-regular thunderstorms in dynamic and custom weather could be improved if there was a difference between a single cell storm "Thundery shower" and a super cell "Thunder Storm" as they have very different characteristics. The latter being rare in Dynamic Weather and only in summer months. Maybe I'm overthinking it though.
