Introduction: I would like to suggest a highly diverse and interesting route from the eastern part of the Czech Republic: the line connecting the Leoš Janáček Ostrava Airport (Mošnov) with the major industrial hub of Ostrava and the city of Karviná. This route is roughly 40-50 km long, making it a perfect fit for the current TSW scope.

Why this route would be fun: This isn't just a scenic drive; it’s a "gameplay powerhouse." It combines three very different types of rail operations:

    1. Modern Passenger Link: The dedicated branch to the airport (Mošnov) offers modern, clean station environments and tight schedules.

    2. Heavy Industrial/Freight: The Ostrava region is the industrial heart of the country. You have the massive Mošnov Logistics Terminal and the sprawling yards in Ostrava-Svinov and Ostrava Main Station (hlavní nádraží).

    3. High-Speed/Mainline: The section between Ostrava and Karviná is part of a major international corridor with frequent traffic and high speeds.
    Key Characteristics & Gameplay:

    • The Mošnov Terminal: A major highlight would be the intermodal terminal. Players could drive a heavy container train from the Polish border (Karviná/Petrovice), perform complex shunting maneuvers in Mošnov, and then switch to a passenger unit for a run back to the city.

    • Unique Safety Systems: Introduction of the Czech LS safety system (and ETCS), which provides a new learning curve for veteran players.

    • Density: The Ostrava node is incredibly busy. The AI traffic would make the route feel alive with local S-Bahn trains, international expresses, and heavy coal/steel freights.
    Suggested Rolling Stock:

    • Class 471 "CityElefant": An iconic double-decker EMU for the S4 and S2 lines. This would be the "star" of the passenger service.

    • Siemens Vectron (ČD Cargo livery): Since the Vectron is already in TSW, it could be reused here with a new livery to pull intermodal and coal trains, making the development more "viable" as Matt suggested.

    • Class 742 or 753 (Bison/Goggles): For shunting operations in the terminals and industrial sidings.
Time Period: Present day (2020–2025) to utilize the modern airport branch and the new logistics centers.

Summary: This route offers a bit of everything: modern passenger runs, intense freight shunting, and a unique "industrial-meets-modern" atmosphere. It’s a manageable length but offers endless gameplay variety thanks to the Ostrava railway node.
