PS5 Dark Screen On Speedometer And Associated Displays

Hi,

I am having the issue whereby the speedometer and I assume the other screen (the TMS?) keeps going dark and I have to click it again to display the speed.

Additionally, on the scotrail express route the buzzer sometimes doesn't sound despite pressing it. And also despite having aws on, alongside all the other safety systems the aws doesn't sound at all. Doesn't even go through the self test sounds. This has been apparent on service 1R06. Anyone else had a similar issue?

 

With regard to the blank screens, does this happen whenever you switch from an external camera to an internal camera?

With regard to the Scotrail sounds, have you encountered the issue since playing 1R06 on a different service? Could it be something to do with the new haptics?

 

It only seems to be that certain Scotrail service that it has the problem on with aws. Albeit the buzzer issues is on a lot of other routes. It's been happening quite regularly. Maybe it's because I am pressing it a lot idk.

The blank screens I don't recall having whether I have had issues switching camera views but something to record to see if it happens. I was just wondering why it all happens. Don't even have dark screen selected on the display to right near gsmr unit

 

That is interesting. If the AWS issue is limited to Scotrail eXpress, then it is likely a bug. Wait to see if others also suffer the same issue.

The buzzer also seems to be a bug, but without a reliable means of recreating it, it will be difficult to fix. Again, wait to see if other Playstation users report the same issue.

As for the dark screen, I'm not sure. I haven't tried it, but I don't think the dark screen button should cause the speedometer to go out as well. That would be quite dangerous. I suspect the game simply isn't loading the screen until it is updated by you clicking on it. I remember someone (possibly me) having an issue similar to this a long time ago in TSW2, but I cannot be sure.

 

Yeah it's overall a bit annoying. I should add if I recall rightly also it is a bit hit and miss. Sometimes I don't have any issues and sometimes I do and it's very annoying!
