The signal guarding the entrance to the main line on the Wycon spur doesn't seem to function right. It's got only 2 lamps, which is fine, but when the signal displays a clear aspect, it goes completely dark. It still shows a red light for a stop aspect just fine though, so the signal logic appears to be fine. EDIT: Forgot to mention, I encountered this on every Chemical Switching service for the SD40-2.
I was afraid of this. For Clinchfield and Sherman Hill the signal logic on two light heads is not limited to just clear and stop. So even if that shows a clear, if the signal past that is red or theres a buffer. The game trys to display a yellow approach, which is impossible, so the signal aspect goes dark, indicating and error. This also can happen on some dwarf signals in LIRR.
Exactly what I was thinking. In the end I suppose it's not a huge deal since it technically qualifies as a visual glitch because the HUD still displays the correct aspect. Also it only happens when it displays a clear (I haven't seen it attempt to display an approach) so that makes me wonder if they just chopped off the top of the 3-lamp head.
Oh it's totally only just an approach. I'll show a demonstration of what I mean from here on Clinchfield. For some reason Dovetail never set up two light signal heads to obey proper GCOR or NORAC rules specific to them. They have proper configurations in the files but they don't seem to be used. If you gave those a clear they would show a green. But if there's a buffer or the following signal is red then it would be an approach according to DTG. The signal really only has two aspects, Stop & Proceed. For the record the yellow text is from the console command 'ShowDebug TIMETABLE' which was working up until a few updates ago.
Union Pacific come-out signals should show two colors, Yellow and Red, and should only show Approach or Stop.
