Credit to for the idea: 1dart Mart Only using Class 377. Starting at 13:30 from Victoria, I took the 13:36 West Croydon service calling at Battersea park, Clapham Junction, Wandsworth Common and Balham before switching staff. Unfortunately, since I left on the DRA at the red signal the AI driver would not move even after resetting DRA and the train itself causing a massive queue, this was ultimately fixed by taking control of the preceding train stuck outside Balham. Even though both trains were able to depart the game’s timetable broke causing infinite red signals due to the services towards London Victoria not spawning in. Restarting at 14:15 from Balham, I’m making a return journey with the 14:21 service from West Croydon to London Victoria calling at the same stations.
After my break, I resume from London Victoria at 15:40 this time taking charge of the 15:46 Sutton service calling at Battersea park, Clapham Junction, Wandsworth Common, Balham, Streatham Common, Norbury, Thornton Heath and Selhurst with a staff change. Overall, an uneventful service with lateness kept under a minute. Following a short wait at Selhurst I caught the 16:21 Caterham service calling at East Croydon and Purley. At Purley however, I have managed to trigger another infinite red signal. I entered a 4 car 377 but didn’t realise it was waiting to be coupled for an 8 car service to London Bridge, after coupling it refuses to give me control and the AI driver is stuck in the 2nd 4 car unit. I will take another break
To be honest, this is the way I regularly play and 90% of the time it results in a red signal failure. It’s a shame that this happens but it’s stopped surprising me
I’ve been considering doing what Tokatails08 is currently doing but I’m starting to worry how I would feel if it all came to an end because of a rogue red light. From what you say there’s probably a high chance it will end badly for me which means followed by Decisions, decisions
Returning from the last break, I start again at 18:30 from Purley taking the 18:34 to Reigate calling at Coulsdon south, Merstham, Redhill and Reigate which was a fairly uneventful drive. At Reigate, I return to London Victoria with the 19:00 service calling at the previous stops plus East Croydon and Clapham Junction. Some congestion outside London Victoria and a few minute wait for another service to leave our allocated platform but really liking the Reigate service. Back at London Victoria I drove the 19:55 Dorking service calling at Clapham Junction only before a staff switch. Fortunately, no game breaking bugs before another break.
Final run before the day ends, continuing on at 21:45 from Clapham Junction I caught the 21:53 Littlehampton and Ore service calling at East Croydon, Gatwick airport, Haywards heath where the formation splits to 4 cars and finally Wivelsfield before a staff change. From Wivelsfield I managed to catch the last train at 23:02 and was the 2nd driver supervising the one stop journey to Haywards heath. There were no available services to drive at Haywards heath however I managed to be the 2nd man for a passing Gatwick Express service that was held up by a red light. I end the day at Brighton, overall it’s very interesting and gave me extra appreciation for LBN. Apart from the bugs I might try it again by myself with other routes when I have the time.
