Now I hope you've all been enjoying the new DB BR 101 add-on for Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr that came out last week and I have to say, I'm really liking so far. Even if it doesn't come with a cab-car, it still is worthwhile add-on and if adding 101 services to the upcoming Hauptstrecke Hamburg – Lübeck is anything to go by, we hopefully will be seeing it on more routes in service mode in the future. But that's not what I wanted to talk about today, what I wanted to talk about is that while playing around with this add-on, I discovered that this add-on adds something really cool around the Duisburg area. To describe it best, on top of the 30 driveable services that this add-on adds to Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr, it also adds several AI services that pull into Duisburg, load/unload passengers and then go out heading out towards Oberhausen and the same in reverse. I did some investigating into this and these are the services that I was able to find, included with the times that they arrive and depart at: There is a chance that there could be more, but I haven't quite found them yet and fun fact, some of these services are 11 coaches long which is actually longer than most of the consists than run on the actual route as they usually range between 7 and 9 cars each. But still, I think this is a really nice touch as it gives a bit more traffic within the Duisburg area. Although I would kinda like to see the same for some of the other stock that runs on the line.
