I think these would make an amazing addition to the game, they’re capable of 200kmh and can be found going between Munich and Nuremberg.
If it comes with the corresponding route and is not as flawed as in real-life (one may hope), that might indeed be interesting Looks like those trains might finally enter into service this year.
I don't know the details, but they were supposed to enter service some three years ago I think, but they were never approved for service so DB never used them, but now it seems like the problems are solved and they can be put into operation soon .
From what I understand there were issues with the pressurization of the cabin to be able to go high speeds. Apparently they just entered service this week
I have driven the locomotive in TS and I love it. The sounds she makes, the way she drives.... I wish we had her in TSW2. She is now running in the Munich area, maybe someone will bring her into the game.
Update here is that they are being used in normal operation. This video by transporter Bavaria shows DB BR102 with Skoda double-decker coaches departing from Munich Hbf . If added in game DB BR 102 and the Skoda Dosto coaches can be used on RSN HRR Main Spessart Bahn Aschaffenburg-Gemünden SKA Rapid Transit & RRO. As substitute for DB BR182 DB BR146.2 DB BR442 423,425 & DB BR143. For Main Spessart Bahn Aschaffenburg-Gemünden DB BR102 can keep up to the same time table service as DB BR 146.2 due to 160 km/h 100 mph max speed which makes DB BR143 struggle due to it's 120 kmh 75 mph max speed.
