I read if you power up the traction motors to quick they could burn out causing a shutdown and requiring a shutdown to restart.So at what pace should you power up to minimize the risk of a shutdown?
For the BR 110 keep the power meter below 65N (there is a sticker in the dashboard to remind you that reads "100% = 65KN). For the BR 103 just make sure you do not keep the Transformer Switch in the ON position for too long (I think the limit was somewhere between 2 and 3 minutes aprox).
This is not correct. The "100% = 65 kN" sticker is for the electric brake, not the traction. If you look at the effort gauge you can see that the left half of it (the braking range) doesn't have units, only percentages.
