I don't have extensive knowledge on the double deck 'IC2' (due to lack of info on the web) but I have read they work the Dresden - Cologne service meaning they could layer onto Nahverkehr Dresden route which is one of my favourites, so a bonus for me.
Well these IC2s are formed of a 146.5 and some kind of double deck coaches complete with a cab car. This could be released as a loco add on for no more than 9.99 as we have a 146 and a double deck coaches present in the game.
Please correction be on wrong information in the replies,
    Thanks

This train is a very common train right now. On many TSW routes, this train is in service right now. It is the most hated long-distance train from DB, because the train tickets for this train are much more expensive than their DB Regio Dosto trains.
For TSW it should be easier to make because they can start with the loc and cars that already exist and adjust the cab car and interior. A small consequence is that scenarios require more than one route.

The tickets are expensive because its an InterCity train and here in germany they are not like the normal red DB trains. They dont stop at small stations and drive about 160 KMH, if not more on some routes. There are many types of DB trains here in, RE, RB, ICE, S-Bahn and many more. Ticket prices are different for each train except the RE, RB and S-Bahn trains, well thats as far as i know, it also depends on how fast the train drives and where it stops.

is it still 160 kph or more? :)

anyway, loving the looks and all, definitely would love this... especially since the 146.2 on Kinzingtalbahn finally works, so it would serve as a good foundation for this one :)

The train is with a maximum speed of 160 km/h even fast (or slow) as the normal Regio Express trains. If they could reach 200km/h, a lot of complaints about this train would vanished.

heh, 160 is a nice speed tho... CJX in Austria is basically a commuter EMU Desiro ML unleashed to 160 kph for most of its routes... and since it isnt as air-tight as ICE-T, it is more intense cos your eardrums feel the PAIN :D

You know with how popular the IC2 livery has gotten, and the amount of downloads it has on the creator club.

I am frankly SHOCKED beyond belief we haven't gotten an IC2 yet. It is such an obvious DLC for DTG to make.

it comes in two variants, the 160 kph one will be used for commuter/regional traffic and 200 kph one for CAT train and RailJets with more stops than RJX

the 160 kph one is similar to the one I got in my profile pic (that one is used here for routes Bratislava - Nové Zámky via Galanta where it hits around 140 kph, my hometown, and Bratislava - Žilina, where it can hit 160 kph)...

I believe OBB got both KISS 160 and 200... 160 as CityJet Dosto EMU, cos apparently they need more capacity on some routes/services than Desiro ML can offer even in double traction... and 200 because KISS as EMU can accelerate more rapidly and stop nicely where some IC/RJ services have more stops so they can use regular Railjet consists for long distance traffic

both look nice and modern, personally I am a big fan (also KISS 200 Westbahn units look rather cool)

IC2 would be nice to see, twindexx vario in general would be a new type of German train to the game! BR445/446 and 147 would be nice for a loco pack!
