Dovetail Games Db Br 147 – Delayed On All Platforms

Hello everyone,
Ahead of the launch of the DB BR 147 Loco Add-on tomorrow, our teams have concluded a final round of testing with some changes that we want to let you know about.

Firstly, we have identified performance issues that are limited to console platforms (PS5 & Xbox Series S/X), and as a result, we’re now aiming to release PC and console platforms separately in order to ensure everyone has the best experience with the release.

PC platforms (Steam & Epic Games) will continue to launch tomorrow at 4pm BST on Epic Games, and 5pm BST on Steam, however, we will be deferring console releases until a later date. We want to first confirm the improvements in our builds before committing to that new date, and once we have decided this, we’ll let you all know asap.

Secondly, we will be making some small amendments to the timetable across all platforms to ensure the gameplay works as you’d expect, that will remove AI services layered from the LGV Méditerranée route.

As a final note, we also had a range of Stuttgart-Heilbronn improvements that were linked to the release of the DB BR 147. We will continue to release these alongside the 147, so that means PC platforms will see these improvements tomorrow, and console players will see them alongside the upcoming release of the 147, which we will confirm soon. We will confirm the full list of updates in our release article tomorrow, with the key changes reflecting Timetable updates, various livery and service fixes, and removal of additional dependencies to help support memory optimisation.

As a summary:

• Steam and Epic Games will release tomorrow, March 31st 2026 at 4pm and 5pm BST respectively, and we’ll support the launch as we normally would with feedback/reports.
• PS5 and Xbox Series S/X will be releasing at a future date once we’ve confirmed the improvements. We’ll share more news on when you can expect this release after we’ve confirmed that the fixes in our builds are suitable for release.
• Small amendments on all platforms, removing AI services from the LGV Méditerranée route.
• Stuttgart Improvements will release alongside the DB BR 147, including Timetable updates, and fixes for liveries and services, as well as greater memory optimisation.

DB BR 147 - Release Delayed on All Platforms
Hi folks, we wanted to provide a quick update regarding the DB BR 147 Loco Add-On, planned to release on PC this afternoon.

Following our news about a console delay we shared yesterday, we have decided to postpone both the PC and console versions to a future date. Overnight, our teams discovered further issues related to crashing that occurred on all platforms, and want to address this issues before releasing the Add-on to ensure you have the best experience.

Currently, we believe it's to do with unreleased installed Add-ons conflicting with the Stuttgart-Heilbronn route, but want to take the time to check before we release the content to you. We don't have a new release date to confirm, however once we have this, we'll share it with you. Thank you for your ongoing patience.

To confirm, we've also postponed our Showcase livestream for the DB BR 147 this evening, and the Stuttgart Improvements will also be postponed to remain linked to the DB BR 147 when it releases. We'll keep you updated on both of these areas when we know more about a new release date.

Class 90 - AWS Acknowledge Issues & Additional Feedback
At the same time, a significant portion of our current focus has shifted toward reviewing and acting on feedback from the Class 90 Freight Loco Add-On. We’ve been closely monitoring discussions, reports, and your insights, and are working through improvements and next steps as a priority.
