The DB BR 189 is a German locomotive built by siemens between 1995 and 1997 and again from 1997 To 2001, these trains, at the time were one of very few locomotive equipped to be compatible with four electric systems, these locomotives have a top speed of 140kph, the first train, 189-001-1 was given to DB in 2002 These trains will be used on Koln Aachen in TSW, however, as these trains run frequently on many other lines in TSW, it will layer onto Almost every German route in game In Koln Aachen these trains would mostly Do mixed cargo runs Why this Loco? These locos are extremely common in the German freight Industry, being used on almost every German route, I feel like, without this loco the game is somewhat missing out on traction PHOTOS OF THE 189 ON KOLN AACHEN (These pictures were old, but when Koln Aachen was set, these locos were still running freight operations) Stolberg Hbf - August 2003 - Staff Training Trip Passing Duren Bridge - June 2007 - Mixed Cargo Heading Towards Aachen - September 2006 - Mixed Cargo SCENARIOS (CUSTOM MADE) Eurosprinter Rescue - Rescue a Failed ICE 3M at Duren and Deliver it to Koln Yard Taking a Turn For the Worst - Deliver Mixed Freight From Koln To Aachen, but beware of the storm Unexpected Outcomes - Couple A 189 To Dostos And Run An RE1 service to help with the extra summer traffic Queue Night - Join the Queue of Night Freight Heading Towards Aachen and The Netherlands
Cool Idea! The BR189 is really missing from TSW, but i feel that choosing a different livery might be a good idea. Nothing too fancy, just the 189 with the big white front. If DTG or someone else were to make the Rechte Rheinstrecke( or parts of it), this loco could be included with the Automatische Kupplung hawling 4000t coal and ore trains. Another idea for a scenario would maybe be: The Nightmare: Due to damaged CNL- Coaches you will need to transport your passengers in replacement Dostos from Köln to Aachen, where the belgian operators will continue using their rolling stock. On the topic of CNL, I know it didn't operate on SKA, but it still could be fun. Maybe we could get a proper one with a backdated DRA or HMA timetable, as the 189 used to pull those.
I do like the 189 in TSC and Zusi 3, so if it could be done justice - i.e. decent sounds - would be great to have in TSW.
