Hello, i want to suggest a german loco DLC: The ES64F4 or better known as DB BR 189. This loco is a freight loco which is able to do cross-border services as it is equipped with different voltages. (Thomas Wolf, www.foto-tw.de / Wikimedia Commons / CC BY-SA 3.0) It could be a perfect Loco DLC for any German route. I think Salzburg-Rosenheim is a great candidate. Also austrian routes like Semmeringbahn could do. And even in the Netherlands, the 189 can be seen. To quote from Wikipedia: The ES64F4 electric locomotive is a locomotive platform from Siemens Mobility (formerly Siemens Transportation Systems) and a member of the EuroSprinter family. In Germany, they are mainly used by Deutsche Bahn as the 189 series. They can be used in all four traction current systems commonly used in Europe. [...] Depending on the variant, the ES64F4 locomotives must be equipped with on-board units for different train control systems. The following safety systems were used: LZB / PZB ZUB262/Integra SCMT SHP ETCS ATB-EG Mirel TBL1+ (Isenherz (Mark Handy) CC BY-SA 3.0) I'd love to see this iconic loco ingame together with 1-2 new freigt waggons
I certainly enjoyed driving this one in TSC. It has quite nice sounds too, if TSC is accurate, avoiding the screeching of the Traxx or the 101 etc.
besides doing occasional chill freight runs, I dont that much care for freight content/locos... unless they finally man up and do hump yard physics... or actual stuff where you shunt and THEN do a run with a completed/assembled train... so not just A to B, but stuff that actually makes freight interesting, y know, actual logistics a bit maybe entering PZB info, like, you would go, interact with the side pockets on carriages (that IRL contain paperwork about cargo), which would in-game give you info needed to calculate stuff to enter into PZB/LZB... y know, actual interesting freight stuff
+1 for the 189. They’re lovely locos in real life. Still would love to see the heavy ore trains with either the double 151s or double 189s at some point.
This kind of realism is desperately needed. Info entry, despite sounding boring is so fun when it's actually in the game, it adds an extra but of immersion. Personally, for freight, I'd like for more rougher areas too. Scenic is nice, but I really want that industrial feel to a freight job.
