Xbox Db Br 363 Throttle Bug (base Xbox One)

I have been unable to do the 2nd scenario that came with the 363 shunter. I only got to setting up the loco and when the game tells me to hold down the throttle, the game doesn’t realise that I have moved the throttle and got the loco moving. I’ve tried putting the throttle to max for a couple of seconds with no result, the instructions telling me to move the throttle just stay there. I’m playing on a base Xbox one and the scenario is the one where you’re shunting steel wagons in the yard.
