The ICE 2 (DB BR 402) is a train, based on the ICE 1 already in-game, but "better". Instead of 2 power cars, it has a cab car at one end. The ICE 2 runs daily on the Schnellfastrecke Köln - Aachen route. This could also layer into the Schnellfastrecke Kassel - Würzburg (and perhaps the Kinzigtalbahn Frankfurt - Fulda). This highly wanted loco would come in 2 variants: a regular version, with gauges similar to the original (or the non-MFD Expert) BR 101, or the ICE 3M (DB BR 406); and a MFD one, similar to SKW's ICE 3 (DB BR 403) or ICE 1 (DB BR 401). This could be easily built by DTG based on the ICE 1 already in the game, and I would buy it instantly. Would be great with the new SKA timetable and it could give the old route a new life, as well as some variation to the SKW route.
yeah but idk if that's planned, and this one would only require some alterations to the existing ice 1 model
well some time ago there was somebody working on a side project of the sfs nurmberg ingolsadt but he got hired by dtg eventually and he was working on smt so there might change that the munchen nurmberg line could come eventually
The Br 402 differs from the 401 in many many ways. To simply edit the model wont do the job. The entire shape of it is different starting at the power car being more streamlined, then the simulation of a cabcar is entirely different to the power car, all wagons are different to the 401 especially the bistro, the physics work completely different. The animations are also different starting at the coupler of the 402. If a 402 would be in make then it would be build from scratch just like any other loco. Still i agree that a 402 would be nice to have.
munchen nurmberg via ingolsatdt - actually one of my dream routes... both highspeed and regional portion... maybe BR102+dostos, even though it is being phased away atm... or franken thuringen express with special 190kph version of Desiro HC:
