One of the most iconic multiple units and forerunners of the ICE is the BR 403. Although its use was rather short, it continued to operate on the left Rhine route as the Lufthansa Express until the 1990s. It was also used for special trips and can also be used on other German routes. I can well imagine that this is a great job for TSG! https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/DB-Baureihe_403_(1973)
While they’re certainly iconic, I can’t see them coming. I can think of numerous problems. We have no route for them. LFR is set in ‘97 while they were pulled out of service in ‘93. Even if we accept that anachronism, the LAE trains were 4 per direction per day. I’m not personally against DLC for such niche uses but I can see it being problematic in DTG’s eyes (see for example the reluctance to develop a P42 Amtrak DLC for the US routes). None of them are operational as it stands. Obviously therefore, sound recordings are impossible. I’m not sure if previous simulators have any good audio resources to potentially pull from but it’s certainly an obstacle you will need to find a way around. Interior reference photographs might also be difficult. I’m unsure whether there are any cars of the 403s currently in a fit state for that with the slight mess of the potential restoration that’s up in the air. I haven’t looked into what resources might be readily available. I certainly see the appeal of the (original) 403s with them being forerunners of the ICE EMUs we see today in a way but if we’re talking about vintage content, I reckon there is much more low hanging fruit for DTG to choose from like the desperately needed 140.
Aside from the actual BR 403 suggestion, I first thought that the Lufthansa Express would be the one in your profile picture.
Let me see you want a TSC loco made by Virtual railroads into the Game. If I were you bring them back to make that and DB BR150/151 C-Akv trains
