First of all, I would like to apologize if this has already been clarified somewhere. I seem to have overread it. But I still have the one question, what actually happens to the old 101 now? Deleted, it will be overwritten Because I personally would find it pointless if there were the same vehicle twice at once.
the old one will still be available, the new one is infact a seperate train in TSW. I myself though will uninstall the old 101 whenever the new one comes due to reasons.
Thanks for the quick reply But somehow it's completely stupid to have two different variants where the one I say is now roughly better.
I think Matt mentioned in the roadmap that it will be a different timetable as it will also have the cab car.
Yes, that may be, but then you could also use the new one for the old routes. Actually because I think the pointless one is actually quite enough.
You can't take something that's already in the game away from people and make them pay to get it back.
They will both exist. Except one has more services than the other since they can't substitute into each other. They don't want players being forced to buy the expert loco for future layers so they will still use the old one for that but they are looking at duplicating timetables as well so both parties can enjoy it. From the roadmap I think, they duplicated some timetables so the expert loco can run.
What I'm wondering is if it is better to uninstall the old 101? I read the old 101 will be used for AI but sounds like a bigger memory hog if you have two 101's in the same session.
Dont do that this train is not replacing all other 101 services. It will have seperate timetables for Rosenheim Salzburg and Riesa Dresden.. for Kassel Würzburg the old one will use the old one same like other routes.
Hm, yes, I have already given my opinion on it. As I said, I just find it pointless. One would be completely sufficient. Sure, you paid for the other. That's just an "upgrade" of what we get there. Of course TSG does its job really well, but it's just the old locomotive with an extremely great update. The only thing that will be new there is the control car and well, an update to the expert version. And before anyone here insuses me that I'm pissed off or anything else. I'm personally looking forward to the expert And the control car Dad addon we got directly on the real day because I personally like to support TSG.
A possibility, that I don't think will be realized anyway (probably too much development time for some minor effect) would've been to sort of make the new one an upgrade in case you owned the old, as in make it replace the old in every instance it appears in, for owners of the old. Because I agree, it would make no sense to not just have the new one (if anything in easy mode) everywhere. With enough code work also probably possible to make it so at that point uninstalling the old 101 could be feasible.... However seeing the approach to content we get in this game, it'll just be added alongside it as a (better) copy.
