Just noticed weird flashing numbers on the bogies of the DB class 66 (WCML London Euston - Milton Keynes), and I'm guessing it's a bug? It happens on all 4 locomotive bogies. Timetable service was 4L52: Basford Hall - London Gateway
Probably Z-fighting, ie the decal with the numbers on is too close to the model and it doesn't know which to display.
There is a lot wrong with the WCML DB Class 66. -Volume of sound is not consistent depending on cab view inside the cab. (It's on and off) -Headlights are not very bright -There is some weird red glowing paint inside the cab on the cab side windows. -The handbrake indicator show both situations at the same time.
Honestly, I thought the sounds and lights were BETTER on this one than the previous ones. Haven't had any of these issues on the WCML Class 66 so far. Maybe it's platform/setup specific.
To be fair, all UK train horns suck. German ones too. If you aren't scaring the LOVE out of bystanders, they aren't doing their job. ;-) Your safety devices shouldn't quietly say "beep beep Please excuse my minor instrusion, don't mind me. beep beep." it should be loud, in charge and say "GET OUTTA MY WAY I'M TONS OF STEEL MOVING AT HIGH SPEED! IF YOU GET IN FRONT OF ME YOU DIE!" "beep beep" is the sound a moped makes.
True also one big thing missing in general is "the next train does not stop here, please stand back from the edge of platform 2"
Yeah.. I've had to do a lot of messing around with my TVs audio just so the 66 sounds better - and it admittedly STILL doesn't sound right!! Really hope a big patch comes out for the 66 soon; one of my favourite trains in game (much prefer freight to passenger, in most cases) so yeah.. I can't wait for the patch to come, if it does!!
A new freight loco that has the ability to substitute for the Class 66. Then you can drive it in service mode for old routes as well.
The horn is barely audible from inside the cab and what you can hear is almost identical to the AWS horn on the old BR diesel locos.
