Liam is the saviour of today's release I think - info on GWE remaster can be found here - https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/dovetail-games-season-of-reveals-2024-week-2.87636/
I think maybe leading the reveal with GWE remaster information and screenshots and not Tram Simulator would have been better. But that's just me speaking and I hope those playing Tram Simulator on console enjoy it, I've got memories of buying the previous one in genuine cities and feeling gutted as it was just left to die.
they did some some other titles would be incluedin and it comeing to console is big so i think its justfit to be on there
Yes the GWE remaster is looking very exciting especially with the playable Underground services! Hopefully we’ll see the whole Hammersmith & City line at some point as it also links nicely to Suffragette line at Barking.
Was initially disappointed seeing that it was for Tram Simulator but seeing the GWE screenshots was a welcome suprise! Honestly the work going into that looks incredible!
Interesting that one of the unbranded 387 liveries is ‘coast’ which represents the C2C 387’s once upon a time. Perhaps they’ll make the leap to the Suffragette / Goblin Line one day?
I see the Tram thingy is coming to gen9 consoles only. Is this a sign of things to come with TSW... ?
Was just thinking about this, it would be cool if the "D Stock" class 484s could also go to the Goblin. Even though it wouldn't be era accurate it would still make Barking a lot busier.
The screenshots from GWE look excellent. I'm very much looking forward to the remaster. I haven't played GWE for a couple of years.
GWE remaster looks amazing!!! I really like the idea behind these "unbranded" liveries, especially for AI traffic. Of course real liveries are preferred, but if it helps fill out stations like Barking, etc and even add additional playable services, like the Underground bits on GWE remastered, then i'm all for it. Way to be a little creative, DTG!
GWE feels more alive now ! Guess I have to redo the 387’s GWR livery as it seems to be a different 387 from BML, as the interior is different but gosh what a drastic change to the route. A massive thanks to everyone involved in that remaster.
Hey Liam, I didn't see it mentioned in the article but will the 387 be getting any lighting / effects upgrades too?
Yep. The BML 387's which these liveries use will have the latest weather effects, light leak fixes and ToD 4 lighting. Suspension is also a thing to be looked at but not confirmed. Same as the BML 377.
My take Liam is a gem Don’t really care about tram sim after trying out tram sims previously… but good for console players who are into trams
GWE looks good, but really think they are flogging a dead horse with CTS. As said over in its forum, fingers burned with Munich and Vienna and a fictional city not of great interest. Player numbers when I’ve checked Steam DB have never been more than (low) double figures. Maybe it will fare better on console but the baggage the developer brings from previous releases not helping the cause. If DTG were serious about trams, they should be integrating into TSW and looking to bring classic routes from around the world - starting with Blackpool, given the recent news heritage trams are unlikely to ever be allowed to run on the system again.
I'm mildly shocked, to be honest - GWE in rework looks like a practically new route (not the same stub of 2017 as it is now) Liam, you're just a bomb, man)
