I dunno if anyone has heard of it, but there was a DP2 made in the ‘60s as the class 60 prototype.
I know that it looks the same as the normal green Deltics, but does anyone know if there is a DP2 model available for ts2020?
    Thanks

I mentioned it the other day actually. Just to point out a typo' if you haven't already noticed it yourself- it was the prototype for the Class 50.

It was a Deltic (Class 55) body being used as the test bed for the engine that powered the Hoovers. Strangely DP2 stood for Deltic Prototype 2 even though it didn't have a Deltic engine of course. Sadly, after successful trials, DP2 was destroyed in a terrible crash near Thirsk.

Yes indeed. It was a Class 55 shell but modified to the requirements of the new engine of course (actually was it new? I've an idea it was an uprated engine from another type 4- probably the Class 40 it being an EE stablemate). The vents on the sides were distinctly Hooverish.

    Yeah sorry about the typo
The deltics are great, but it would also be nice to see a DP2 for ts2020
Also yes the crash involved a freight train
