    Dear all.

Yesterday I stumbled over this two topics that show very well the rolling stock on the Mittenwaldbahn between 1985 and 1989.

In short, there were very few Silberlinge, but the route was dominated with Yl- coaches (so called "Mitteleinstiegswagen") for regional trains and UIC-X (ie. Avmz 111, BDms273, Bm234, Bm235, ABm225 and Am203 and more) coaches.

It would be nice to have them for TSW for use in Mittenwaldbahn, Linke Rheinstrecke, E94 Pack 1984 timetable and upcoming retro add ons.

    Kind regards.

First, I looked at those Drehscheibe threads... very informative, thanks for the links! :)

    Found this quote though:
Die rückgebauten ylf kamen anschließend i.W. auf die Mittenwaldbahn...
....wo sie auch bis ca. 1987 noch in Massen anzutreffen waren. Auf meinen 1988er Dias finde ich fast nur noch n-Wagen.

Meaning: yl-Wagen were indeed used quite frequently on Mittenwaldbahn, until around 1987. In 1988 they seem to have all but disappeared in favour of n-Wagen. Since TSG's Mittenwaldbahn timetable takes place in 1989, n-Wagen are the more correct choice ;)

Not quite AmityBlight , the one source you're citing from states the last of these coaches - guess the BDyl - were seen in 1988/89.

This source from the same photographer states 1989 was the last year, which explains why there are activities with pushing locos.

    Kind regards.

PS. In any way they'd be great additions especially for the 1980s. The last Yl coaches were used in 1994 or 1995

    OK, point taken.

Anyway, I think the silver n-Wagen are a good compromise and will come in handy on (hopefully many) other routes in the future.
What I wholeheartedly agree with is that we could really use some UIC-X coaches at this point. Me personally I'd prefer those over the yl's :)

Definitely want UIC coaches, if only to relive those ghastly long journeys sat on a firm plastic cushion with a small back piece and rock hard headrest. Said it before, never understood how DB got away with providing such uncomfortable stock for journeys lasting several hours!
