Rivet games released this interesting video (Devblog | Routebuilding on the Isle of Wight for Train Sim World 2):

I don't know if there are other similar videos, but for me this was the first time seing the TSW route editor. Interesting look in both the tooling and also the process.

Yes it was fascinating to get such an insight - a very nicely done demo video. Let's hope they go on to do a few other such behind the scenes productions.

That is an interesting video, and nice to see the tools they have available explained in such detail. I've always been a fan of those "How It's Made" videos, and dev studios are always reluctant to do sensible ones in case they give away some mysterious trade secret...

Makes you wonder how many of us have the skill and determination to use a full scale editor.
Some I’m sure, but not the majority of us.

It looks pretty easy to use to be honest. If you could use the editor in Train Simulator or Trainz, then you would be able to use this one as well, from what we can see.

Yes. Simple. Time-consuming. Demanding accuracy and good taste :)
PS Only 3D models need to be done and a few other things ... The editor itself - great! Gimme!

Sorry but the editor looks like work to me.
    I only work for pay.

Well content creator is never really "fun", unless you especially enjoy it. Obviously it requires work, a route won't build itself with 2 clicks.

But the tools look nicely made and powerful, such a shame we won't be able to use them.

The grumbling for an editor has never been as much about how I, or you, or normal TSW player would use it and far more about how the folks who have come together to develop freeware in the past for TS, like the folks at Alan Thomson Sim, or DP Simulation would use it.
