    Hi,
in my opinion, one of the few things missing for Germany, apart from older routes, is a non-electrified route. That is why I am suggesting Mainz to Idar-Oberstein in the west/southwest of Germany. This would contain a full line, the RB 33, which is quite rare in TSW. The route has a length of about 90 kilometers (56 miles).

    Stops and services:

All of the stops are RB 33 stops, bold stops are additionally for the RE.

    Mainz Hbf

    Heidesheim

    Ingelheim

    Gau Algesheim

    Ockenheim

    Gensingen-Horrweiler

    Bad Kreuznach

    Bad Münster a Stein

    Norheim

    Staudernheim

    Bad Sobernheim

    Monzingen

    Martinstein

    Hochstetten (Nahe)

    Kirn

    Kirnsulzbach

    Fischbach-Weierbach

    Idar-Oberstein

The lines RB 33 and RE 3 operate on the line, both operated by the local private company vlexx. The RB 33 would be fully represented, from Mainz to Idar-Oberstein and the RE 3 partially. Both lines regularly operate once per hour per direction, making it a somewhat 30 minute connection in both directions.
Travel times are 1h08min for the faster RE 3 and 1h31min for the slower RB 33.

    Rolling stock:

Vlexx operates the lines with LINT DMU's (diesel multiple units), namely LINT 54 (2-car, BR 622) and LINT 81 (3-car, BR 620), both capable of 140 kph. I suppose creating these should be similar to just creating one train, the longer one, and removing the middle part to get the shorter one with some model adjustments, but I'm no expert. The sounds are also similar. When in service, the two units are mixed to create longer formations when needed.

A formation of two LINT 81's.

    Layers:

Layers for the BR 425, BR 422, BR 101 and BR 403/406 for traffic in Mainz Hbf would be added, in addition to some freight trains, but the actual line is only operated by the vlexx DMU's.
As for layers onto other routes, the possibilities are AI trains in Munich (in BRB livery) and AI trains in Köln (in VAREO livery).

    Specialties:

With a proper timetable, this route could be even more alive. Since on this route the player is an employee of vlexx, the services could include preparation of trains waiting to be used, putting trains into sidings to rest, or just going there and back again and again on the RB 33. The player could couple vehicles for higher passenger masses in Rush Hour and uncouple them again and much more. Maybe there could even be an imaginary settlement of vlexx at Mainz Hbf where you pick up the keys for vehicles in the sidings where you then will have to walk to. I think this could be something very special about this route since it is a complete route for the RB 33. (In the cab ride video you can see units standing around at some major stations)

    Pros and Cons:

+ first actual German diesel route (DCZ is electrified)
+ 2 entirely new trains with the effort of creating one train, since they're very similar
+ gorgeous landscape with mountains, a river that you follow for a while and much more
+ opportunities for unique procedures (see "Specialties")
+ suitable route length although maybe a tad too long
+ longest services yet with 1h30 minutes of travel
    - potentially a little overlength
    - somewhat similar to DCZ

    Some pictures:

Let me know what you think of this suggestion!

Excellent idea and if you are wondering who owns Vlexx it's the Italian State Railways FS therefore DTG will need a FS license since Vlexx is part of the Italian State Railways since December 2020. Automatic announcement voice is Berliner Marcus Asmus if DTG wanted them. In Mainz Hbf the 425s 423s with RMV Stickers S-Bahn Rhein-Main S8/S9s use Ingo Ruff which is also present in German routes including Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr Main Spessart Bahn. This can be bundled as Nahverkehr Rhein-Main with Mainz Idar Oberstein then the RE3 RB33 Mainz to Frankfurt Am Main Section which is S-Bahn Rhein Main S8/S9 Wiesbaden/Mainz to Frankfurt Am Main Hbf
