Hello would someone be willing to explain the difference between the green and blue class 47 please why they sound so different primarily is one more powerful than the other?
They were both made at different times and how things are built have also changed a lot which includes sounds and physics
Does that make one more powerful than the other as I've read the class 47 was originally built with a 2750hp engine but was later derated to 2580hp by the sounds I'd say the blue has the more powerful engine
They are theoretically the same, the green one is "as preserved" which means it has the same derated engine as the blue one. The difference is the WSR is the older and more dated model and so hasn't had any proper revisions since its original release. The Blue one saw some improvements when it released for NTP, and then Prestons was further improved upon.
The BR Blue Class 47 has a nasty bug, at least it does if you use it on the Southeastern Highspeed route. Every time the AWS warns you of an upcoming yellow or red signal, the throttle and brakes will trip out. Not sure if that happens on other routes, as I haven't tried the timetables or scenarios, but just be cautious. As for power difference between the two 47s, can't say it's ever been big enough to be noticable.
It happens due to DSD pedal triggering while using keybind and dumping the brake pipe. I thought they fixed it when Blackpool Branches came out.
No, it's still broken. I played the thing where you're pulling the Europhoenix Class 37 on SEHS yesterday, and the damn 47 had a mental breakdown every 2 minutes. Can't remember the name of the timetable or scenario, but I nearly smashed the TV with my XBOX controller. EDIT: 5Q58 Derby Litchurch Lane - Ramsgate
At least WSR one doesn't have that issue. I don't know if Blackpool Branches one has this issue. I usually drive NTP one with DSD off due to this bug.
The 47 from Blackpool suffered from the glitch that triggers the brakes while acknowledging the AWS warning but it was patched and it’s working fine. But the NTP is still broken from day one *clown emoji*
Nope, they're all nonfunctional except the taillight and headcode box switches. They work on the blue NTP version, but not this one,.
