I know it's normal for the display to change over from miles to feet as the train gets closer to the next objective/station etc but my very simple timetable PIE has just started to do this at larger distances of somewhere just under 2 miles. Right now I can't find an option in the route definition or the timetable to change this back to the usual setting so I must be missing something??
I think for US routes it's switching from miles to feet under 10,000 feet, and UK it starts counting in yards under 1,000 yards. At least that's how it is for me on Peninsula Corridor. But there may be a setting I don't know
This is a timetable running on my own UK route and it switches over at around 1.8 miles which would be close to 10000 feet. I think there’s a setting to measure in yards rather than feet which will probably fix it. Will try that tomorrow.
Best of luck I don't know who in their right mind would count distances in thousands of feet but then again people from the US may find the yard or metre awkward to wrap their head around.
Haven't played with the editor for a few months so I've no idea how it got changed in the Route Definition, but setting the Imperial Distance to yards restored the display to UK normal. Should've realised it was that simple but thanks for nudging me in the right direction.
