Recently played a service (5J49) on SEHS from Ashford Depot to St Pancras. The follow-up service 1T90 divides at St Pancras at the start of the service, once the train has divided the stopping point for loading passengers requires you to be spot on it. This involves reversing the train back multiple car lengths which isn't very realistic. I've attached a screenshot of the distance required to reverse from the unit uncoupled from. I believe this issue affects all dividing services at St Pancras. Is there a reason why the stopping point is so far down the platform and why it won't accept me moving back a couple of meters from the unit I've uncoupled from? Would be most grateful if this could be looked into.
On UK railways, once uncoupled, the train most be "separated" from the other by pulling forward a little bit. The accuracy is set low so that the instruction does not autocomplete without actually moving the unit. You'd ideally drive the train from the other end after uncoupling, though IRL they have more staff to help with this procedure.
