Now this is really a strange one and has me completely puzzled. First a little background. When I first purchased this DLC from Steam, I was running TS in 64-bit mode. No problems there at all. Last week, I decided to purchase a Raildriver. I downloaded drivers that were tagged to TS 2019, but seeing that the core game has remained the same I didn't think it would make any difference. When I run TS in 64-bit mode the headlight on the DL 109 works. But running in 64-bit mode with the Raildriver, the Horn and Bell toggles do not work so I tried running TS in 32-bit mode and they work, however, the headlight does not work in 32-bit mode. I cannot even trigger it using the HUD. It just will not light. The interior cab lights work but not the headlight. Very strange. Any thoughts?
This loco was developed by Cesar Pach (Lord Mannu) of DTM but he doesn't have a website outside of FB to which I don't subscribe. Yes, I believe some file in the Lights section needs to be re-configured as no other loco in my TS roundhouse exhibits this problem when running in 32 bit mode. Of course if we could get PI Engineering to update the 64 bit drivers to include horn and bell, the problem would be solved. I doubt that either of these remedies are ever going to happen.
Ignore expecting a PI Engineering update A chap does his own stuff for Raildriver and there is a thread on UKTS - a lot of pages but you can search https://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic.php?f=361&t=139830&hilit=Raildriver I would ask this question on Railworks America as you are more likely to find an answer if there is already a fix
I posted to RWA with no responses but to be fair, I really think this is an issue with DTM and its configuration of the DL-109. My issue was that the headlight would not operate in 32 bit mode, but did in 64 bit mode. However in 64 bit mode, I had no horn or bell with my Raildriver. So I decided to do an uninstall of the RD and Macroworks folders, delete both folders and do a clean install of RD but not Macroworks. Recalibrated RD and installed the TS2019x64 drivers from PI Engineering. Well, it worked. I still do not have headlight function on the DL-109 in 32 bit mode, but I was able to restore the horn and bell on the RD in 64 bit mode and that is all I was really after as I much prefer running TS in 64 bit mode. I now have all levers, buttons and switches working in RD in 64 bit mode for TS.
