Hey DTG development team, I would like for y’all to add in the legendary GEVOs into Sandpatch one day, the ES40DC. They range from numbers 5200-5501. There are some in YN3B and some with stickers. But the rest are in YN3. They have a 1st gen K5HL horn. 5500 is the Spirit of Cincinnati, 5461 is a Seaboard sticker unit, 5327 is the Western Maryland sticker unit, and 5322 has a lightning bolt being the only ES40DC with one. They are really ES44DCs but CSX calls them ES40DCs.
Actually they aren't ES44DCs because they no longer have 4400 hp. CSX derated them to 4000 hp. That is really interesting that 5322 has a lightning bolt. Those are supposed to designate locomotives with AC traction motors. But I agree. We absolutely need some GEVOs in the game. They are now the most poplular locomotives in NA railroading history, with 6,207 units sold (this figure includes the ED40DC, ES44DC, ES44AC, and ES44C4). For comparison, the SD40-2 sold 4,175 units. That's over 200 more GEVOs sold!
