I recently bought a game on PS5 (FF7 Remake) which allowed me to individually select the DLC I wanted installed. Please, please, please, please, please make this option available in Train Sim World 2 when it releases on PS5. I currently have Train Sim World 2020 (waiting for bundle for TSW2 that doesn't contain TSW2020 routes I already have) and it doesn't allow me to modify the DLC once it is installed. Space is limited on these new systems so it would be wonderful if I had a way to manage it better and select only the DLC I want to play at a given time, no need to have it all installed at once.

You can uninstall individual routes if you don’t want them

Yup, I’m not at 80gb and would love to uninstall a couple of packs at least.

The best way to go about it in the meantime would be to delete the game, then just reinstall it and the packs you want in rest mode overnight.

Yeah, you know you’re in the PlayStation forum right?

Best not to give advice if you don’t actually know yourself.

He made an observation, don’t know if it needed the snarky reply.

It’s not an observation to say you can do something that you cannot…

But it is kinda saying that I shouldn’t speak when I don’t know the answer . By getting something wrong you can often learn something

That’s a stupid system from Sony. Sadly the only way to uninstall a DLC is do delete the game ( it won’t erase your saving but just in case upload a copy on the cloud if you have PS+ or on a USB ) then reinstall the game with the DLCs you only want

I appreciate that you want to help. But this thread is about pure knowledge, there is no learning curve. And if you do not know the correct answer, you should give no answer at all. It only creates confusion, which is not helpful at all.

I have had consoles from Sony for many years. I never had a reason to delete a paid package.

I did because my disk was full. But since I didn’t want to uninstall DLC of TSW or other other games, I bought an external disk. Solved the problem.

You cannot uninstall DLC on PS5. It’s the same as the PS4 in that respect.

For certain PS5 titles you can manage the content.
Most of my PS5 games are only language packs to faff around with so not the best example otherwise would add a screen.

Think the COD Cold War beast can be managed and campaign, multiplayer etc can be removed at leisure.

hopefully when it’s a fully fledged PS5 title you’ll be able to tick and untick routes

That’s a COD integrated feature and not a PS one.

You’ll struggle to prove that this is indeed possible for other games.

    Indeed, I enjoy a struggle ;)

So far it’s only language packs on other PS5 games. Zero content flexibility. I did say hopefully on my previous post, looking like a long shot.

You can do this for ALL PS5 games. Stop spreading misinformation from your own incompetence.

I mean you can now do it with TSW 2 as of literally 4 days ago and you’ve just quoted my reply from over a month ago…

Maybe you should be worried about your own competence, or lack thereof.
